Space Portal Consortium is poised to promote the new space economy. Building collaborative business ventures, the Space Portal is considered the "friendly front door" to NASA. Space Portal Consortium
Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley in the NASA Research Park, the Space Portal is an alliance of industry, government, academia and non-profit organizations. It facilitates access to human and capital resources, facilities, and talent and a sophisticated network that’s dedicated to enabling successful commercial ventures in space.
It has been specifically charged with enableing partners to share funds, talents, and networks to create unique solutions, such as sample return vehicles, NACA type support, provisions expert guides for new customers entering the space arena; providing the means to aggregate small payloads from multiple customers and share costs to purchase multiple flights which in turn bolsters the commercial space community. Bringing together customers, suppliers and investors, the Space Portal is enabling new markets thereby facilitating Government-private-foundation Investment pools.
