Ames Account Manager

NASA Ames Account Manager "not a Project Manager"

  • Primary interface between Ames and commercial customer for all SAA relationships (Customer POC)
  • Responsible for communicating customer needs and status of relationships to Ames Management
  • Works with line organizations and Center Management to establish the correct protocol structure & marketing plan for each commercial relationship
    • including project manager, proposal manager, task leads, test engineers, etc assignments required to develop SAA Task Annexes
  • Coordinate formation of SAA with Partnerships Office/Legal & serve as Ames POC on SAA
  • Maintain connectivity with customer during execution to anticipate and mitigate issues
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Specific Duties
  • The Account Manger should be perceived as an champion for the partner within NASA. He will actively mitigate (e,g, 'hide') the bureaucracy, while always assuring that NASA mandated process requirements are fully satisfied.
  • The position will be the external face of NASA, and the internal liaison with the performing organizations. Experience efficiently navigating the NASA Ames business and administrative processes is essential.
  • Responsible for all aspects of account management and client service. The position will handle client service for NASA's SAA accounts interfacing with commercial businesses.
  • Duties include (but not limited to): Deal tracking, reporting, and analysis; support and account maintenance; managing account relationships; Interacting with internal organizations.
