Vision

The Space Portal will identify emerging and non-traditional companies for potential commercial space opportunities, introduce start-up ideology, commercial opportunities and new technology to Ames staff.

The Space Portal has 5 goals and objectives. Under the auspices of NASA they are positined to:

1. Facilitate use of government infrastructure and expertise for commercial projects.
2. Provide a forum for development of mutually beneficial collaborations.
3. Serve as a broker among government, investors, new customers and the commercial space industry.
4. Facilitate economic development by identifying new targets of opportunity.
5. Act as a catalyst for aligning goals and leveraging capabilities among member organizations to create new opportunities.
6. Marshal resources and execute strategies for high-value commercial space enterprises.
